Best if you want the classic southbound route through the High Atlas, kasbah country, Dades, Todra, Merzouga, and onward to Fes.
Marrakech -> High Atlas -> Ait Ben Haddou -> Ouarzazate -> Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech early and cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka road, with stops for mountain views and Berber villages. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, continue through Ouarzazate and the rose route, then settle into Dades Valley for the night.
Dades Valley -> Todra Gorge -> Erfoud -> Merzouga -> Sahara Camp
Visit the limestone walls of Todra Gorge, pass palm groves and desert towns, then reach Merzouga in time for the dunes. Ride camels or transfer by 4x4 to the camp for sunset, dinner, music, and a night under the stars.
Merzouga -> Rissani -> Erfoud -> Ziz Valley -> Ifrane -> Fes
Wake for sunrise over the dunes, then leave the Sahara through Rissani, Erfoud, and the Ziz Valley. Cross the Middle Atlas via Midelt, cedar forest scenery, and Ifrane before arriving in Fes.

Fes -> Ifrane -> Cedar Forest -> Midelt -> Ziz Valley -> Merzouga Sahara
Leave Fes for the Middle Atlas, stopping around Ifrane, cedar forest scenery, Midelt, and the Ziz Valley. Reach Merzouga in the afternoon for camel riding, sunset, dinner, and your desert camp.
Merzouga -> Khamlia -> Nomad Families -> Erg Chebbi -> Merzouga
Spend the day around the Sahara instead of only passing through it. Explore by 4x4, visit Khamlia for Gnawa music, meet nomad families when possible, and enjoy a slower desert evening.
Merzouga -> Rissani -> Erfoud -> Ziz Valley -> Ifrane -> Fes
Leave the dunes after breakfast, stop in Rissani or Erfoud if timing fits, and return through the Ziz Valley, Middle Atlas landscapes, and Ifrane before arriving in Fes.
Better as a longer route
Three days from Casablanca to the Sahara is too compressed for a premium private trip. We recommend 4 or 5 days so the route includes Fes or Marrakech without becoming only driving.
Choose the 4 days option if you need a fast Casablanca-to-Marrakech desert route, or 5 days if you want a more comfortable pace.

Tangier is too far north for a proper 3 day Sahara tour. The route needs more time to include Chefchaouen, Fes, the Middle Atlas, and the desert with comfort.
For Tangier starts, we would usually suggest a longer Morocco route rather than forcing the Sahara into three days.

Yes, if your priority is a fast Sahara experience. It is still a long route, so 4 or 5 days is better if you want a softer pace.
Marrakech and Fes are the realistic starting cities. Casablanca and Tangier are better with more days because they add too much distance.
