Spend a full day around Merzouga, with time for 4x4 desert tracks, Khamlia music, nomad visits when possible, and a slower evening near the dunes.

Return north through Rissani, Erfoud, the Ziz Valley, Midelt, and the Middle Atlas before arriving back in Fes.
Better as a longer route
Four days from Tangier to the Sahara is usually too tight for a polished private experience. We recommend a longer route so you can include Chefchaouen, Fes, and the desert properly.
For Tangier starts, a 6 or 7 day desert route normally feels much more natural.
